Pam great pictures. Neat garden. Want to make the flowers more spectacular, feed them with Bloom Booster, Super Bloom, Bloom Plus, etc, those ferilizers with a high phosphorus count. They are formulated to double your flower output and larger deeper colored blooms. I use them all the time, fantastic results.

I remembered this weekend to put some boost on them. I always have it on hand, but often forget to use it.

The rest of my hybrid daylilies should start opening within the next couple of weeks. I've got some pretty cool ones in several different colors.

weirdly enough, i really miss that about oklahoma. so many neat crawly critters, unlike MD.

tarantulas, tarantula hawk-wasps, gigantic cicadas, cricket invasions, rattlesnakes, all kinds of spiders, stag beetles...

I decided to go to the Appalachian trail yesterday but I got a really late start- got there about 5 pm. Oh well- the (equivalent of a) block I walked was fun!

Here are some photos from the drive there (about 20 minutes away!)...

Pardon the telephone poles! Look at the shades of green and shadows (from the clouds, I think...) in the mountains!

Daisies along the road up the hill

Windy, narrow road that was fun in and of itself!

The entrance to the trail

Along the trail

Mother nature needs a dusting!

Leaves are everywhere!

The river

It was so peaceful- all of the green colors, soft sounds of the river! There is a waterfall about 1 1/3 miles away. I will be going back to hike to it!!

Thank you for taking us along on your drive and hike, Wild Flower. Your photos are stunning! I've never been to that part of the U.S. and would love to see it someday. I need to get out more!

So often we drive miles and miles to go on vacation, forgetting our own backyard. When I was really, really broke, I often thought of how I couldn't even drive to the trail or mountains here! Glad i could a ford it finally!

Here is the sunset as I left the trail.
