So sorry Three Wolves in Snow. You did your best........he may have had internal injuries. Thanks for trying to save him!!!
Larksong is right. It is good you stopped to help him, contacting people to find help. Sorry it didn't work out. So sad to think of a life lost like that. :-( Know that you expressed love and concern and that is what we all need more of!
Just back from a camping trip in the mountains of Pennsylvania where there were many, many chipmunks. My, they are such very busy--and amusing little critters, aren't they? Wish we had some here in coastal North Carolina, I loved watching their antics and speed and comings and goings...the way they run so busily with their little tails straight up makes me smile and laugh...

just happend to run across this forum today.. its awesome. Cant believe a Nature forum was turned down... crazy..
I live in Girdwood Alaska and saw my first Black bear today for the year. So beautiful, thick black fur with brown snout and ears several tourist were getting way to close trying to get a picture. He was not the least bit alarmed and went jolly on its way. The tourist were lucky.
This time of year the bears are out and very active. several maulings have already happend this spring.
The idea of a "Nature" forum wasn't actually turned down. It just needed to be proven as a popular enough topic to warrant it's own forum. By starting this thread greatblueheron has apparently shown the interest in Nature. GBH
I think this is still the place to showcase our fun and cool nature shots! :-)
Here is one... I only have 4 minutes...
The insect bite lets us see the flower!
