The ones I've seen closer to my home just north of Tampa have all looked all drab with colors fading and too skinny. The one I saw today was only a few yards from the Gulf. Maybe just being closer to salt air does them good. Ya think? It does me good and today I chose my new home in Safety Harbor, just minutes away from the beaches of Honeymoon Island!!!

I just saw, about two minutes ago, the biggest Marine Toad that I've ever seen....it was crossing the street....it had a bit of a limp....and was about 4 pounds....at first I thought I was seeing a big turtle but as I approached it I found it to be the toad!
I've seen big ones before, but never any this huge! It was an old female.
I'll never forget it!

Need too watch out on some of the Toads.. besides being piddled on, it can be a irritant if handled.. mouth or eyes...wash your hands well if you handle them..
