I would rather that bird or any bird have oil on the inside instead of the outside! I'm thinking of oil spills, of course.

They still have the large tortoise in S . Florida.

In the lake one time a smaller one (one above is from SeaWorld), came out and scared the daylights out of my dogs (and they arent scared easily, lol).

I've had to rescue a turtle from dogs before. Of course, he was hiding in his shell, but I walked him down to a pond and let him go.

Here's a video of starlings over Rome. These birds fly in amazing formations.

Don't let the title fool ya. The score is: Starlings 10,000+ and Falcon 0.

Yesterday I had 12 adult quail come into the front yard to visit. They got a little spooked when I brought Mrs Aks out to see them all, so they headed for the side yard and into the back for a while before leaving altogether. So noisy and interesting to watch them,,,, now if the neighborhood cats can leave them alone for a while and let them stay around it’d be nice.

At lunch today sitting by a window, a squirrel on a roof about 3 stories up ran to the edge and stopped. Not sure what he was looking for or at. We were saying, "Don't jump squirrel! Things will get better!"
