Lovely! The leaf pic has most every color of fall transition. Your framing makes your pics look even better.

The bridge pic is splendid and looks very much like an oil painting. Those four places at the top that look something like squares with the stone recessed appear to look like music notes in the water reflection!

As I understand the bridge starting in Nov ? They will have mini crystal lights on the arches..the music notes are scuppers water drains from the road. I clipped off the top do too many people & cars and trucks on the bridge. This was a CCC Project

On the other side of the Old Stone Bridge... and the spill way.

When those arches are lit, there will be many visitors at night! Just two months ago Tampa Bay did the same with five main bridges. I posted some pics somewhere at the time but here's some again. I haven't driven over in person but I'll do that one of these nights! This is an art project and there's more to come. All of the lights go through a series of changing colors. The lights used are low energy and it's being paid for by the power company.

Nice photos !!!!..I know the bridges..The old cantilever rail bridge has character. I am just waiting for the first snow and a attempt on night photography of the bridge and lights.. the lake does get a thin ice cover.

While we're talking bridges . . . the footbridge in the Japanese section at the Memphis Botanical Garden. Observe the nature around it.

That's not a wookie in front of it, just a stone.

Sorry, have no photos of it, but:
Monday (8 days ago) there was an overnight proliferation of ladybugs. One day there were none to be seen, then-blammo-there they were, all over the place.

Asked a few folks in town if they'd seen it, they had not. Just my neighborhood ? I dunno'-they were hard to miss, because they were covering the window panes, inside & out. It seems to happen once a year around this time (October), for just a single day. I'm sure glad they were ladybugs and not another sort of insect/spider, because I'd be terrified & skeeved out. Fortunately, ladybugs are the special exception to my usual phobia of such creatures-and they're easy to catch, so I can let them back outside.

Wonder if it's a seasonal cyclical phenomena, I don't know the science of their life cycle.

Must be their season. I agree, ladybugs are not as repulsive as some insects.
