I think I've seen some of those that are green and walk along a limb and others that are brown and soft like a worm.

Thanks for showing pics of the insects....I don't do photos . That walking stick is such a great find. They are pretty darn odd

Was this the San Antonio Zoo? Very pretty setting...I have never seen a koala live!

You're welcome. No these were from our trip to San Diego Zoo. They had several really wicked looking walking sticks. SD Zoo is in a meandering forest SA Zoo is in an old Rock Quarry. Both have plenty of vegetation and are superb zoos.

Not sure if this is considered nature. We traveled through St Louis and stopped to visit the grave sites of relatives at a nearby cemetery. This one is taken at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. The angle of the sun, the hills, trees, and stones was actually beautiful. Not so much you'd want to move in, of course. But death is a part of nature.
