My husband saw 2 does playing w/ each other last week, running after one another. Momma near by. He talks to the deer on his walks to the grocery store. They turn their heads and just listen to him.

Bigun and I were on this morning's outing to a nearby elementary school to play ball. As I was waiting for him in a clearing between the various types of trees there, I realized the bird chitters were clamoring. I looked around and saw that the trees were just bobbing with robins (which I recognized) and others. One tree in particular was mostly robins; it was heavy with bright orange berries. The others were different types of pine trees, and their bird noises were more the tapping of insect eaters, though I could also hear pine cones being crunched.

A bit later, walking under a grove of oaks where the bits of acorn remnants were crunching under my soles the squirrels were just stuffing themselves. Big' was so excited at all of them in so many directions that he just stood shaking.

The British term for that is "spoiled for choice."

Sunsets are amazing, I keep crossing paths with snakes and heard a coyote howling on my walk this weekend. (I walked faster after I heard that!)
