Yes, sunrise and sunset are the best time to see wildlife.

I suspect you are correct. I believe it won't be long before we have so much we won't know what to do with it all.

Yesterday while walking Bigun I saw a squirrel sitting on top of a driveway figurehead -- a lion, and its tail was curled up along its back and over its head, all bushed out. The wind was just whipping us about, so much so that I was leary of walking under trees. I realized again how much our little critters face in their short lives without the benefits we have of improved shelter, clothing, and food storage. I hope that little guy remembers where he's stashed all those acorns.

*In Florida*....the love bugs are doing their thing!
They are *EVERYWHERE*.....and doing it everywhere...I have mating pairs in my car, in my hair, in the very air I breathe! They are literally swarming.

Would you believe someone made a study of it and found that squirrels find their acorns at random. The ones they don't find? Oaks.

Thank goodness someone is planting trees!

I keep hearing about our carbon footprints and reading about our deforestation. I think I was in third grade when I learned that trees consume carbon dioxide. Is it too simple a solution to absorb the CO2 in our atmosphere by RE-foresting? Maybe we should put some out of work people to work planting trees.

Maybe we should put our Congress to work planting trees. At least they would be doing something....

Never fear. There are vast forests being managed and protected in North America.

A red fox was trotting around in the yard - it blended in perfectly with the autumn colors. It was the movement that caught my eye in the backdrop of brown and orange foliage.
