Saw 4 deer running down the road this morning. One adult, 3 young ones. We had relatives from New Zealand come visit, they could not believe all the deer in our suburban neighborhood. They thought it was cool, uh no, they love ALL flowers and I'm through with providing "exotic salads" for the deer.
FYI; no squirrels in New Zealand. My cousin sat for hours watching them.

Thanks for sharing their reactions to our wildlife. I feel like I know New Zealand just a tiny bit more than before, now.
And we have a runt squirrel in the neighborhood. The neighbors say that he has been around too long to be a baby, so he is just a little squirrel. He's cute!
This morning was watching a Hawk sitting in a tree limb across from my patio watching me. We had a nice staring contest for several minutes until he glanced to his right and flew down by the river about 100 feet away. He came up with a mouse. Pretty darn amazing. And no he didn't share.
Birds are awesome at hunting rodents. Coyotes are, too.
