Ah, maybe.

Don't recall the exact settings but I use a Canon EOS 7D camera and that shot was taken with either a Canon 100-400 mm zoom, or a Canon 135 mm.

Interesting. When I read 'deer' I expect to see whitetails but these are mule deer correct?

Sneaky crocs put sticks on themselves as camouflage. ----> MSN Entertainment -

Sez the croc: "I'm just a log floating here. Come perch on me."

Last night around sunset, stopped at the intersection where WA-522 intersects with Ballinger Way, we noticed another crow "convention" was convening. We usually see this in the late summer. Hundreds of crows -- even thousands on big ones, converge over a small area. This time the tops of at least twelve large trees were filling up fast. It's weird to see so many with more flying in, listening to their chatter. There's an obvious hastening in their movements, like they feel their late to the party and could miss some important happening!

Don't underestimate crows' intelligence and ability to communicate. I expect there's LOTS of info being exchanged during those get-togethers.

Maybe it's because it's the holiday season, and they didn't book enough rooms.
