An apelike creature with human features, whose fossil bones were discovered recently in a South African cave, is the most plausible known ancestor of archaic and modern humans, the scientists who discovered the fossils say. A recently-discovered species, called Australopithecus sediba, may dislodge Homo habilis as the immediate human ancestor. The claim, if accepted, would radically redraw the present version of the human family tree, placing the new fossil species in the center. The new species, called Australopithecus sediba, would dislodge Homo habilis, the famous tool-making fossil found by Louis and Mary Leakey, as the immediate human ancestor.

Ya know...I found an old bottle cap buried in the backyard once when I was a kid. I proceeded to deduce that there must have been a race of beer drinkers. Old Milwaukee, to be exact. They lived on it...because they had nothing else to drink. The men were overweight...and had mutton chops. They used to cook food over an open fire, while their women made potato salad.

I think I'm going to go pitch a new show to Hollywood based on it....going to call it CSI Evolution. It's sure to be a hit. After all, many people believe this fairy tale based off of a few bones that some scientist says is a 3 million years old.

You have a lot of catching up to do before proceeding with that venture. Kind of ironic that you use the words "fairy-tale."

There are honestly doubts among many people of who shot JFK. And you think they know what people ate for breakfast 2 million years ago?

Personally, I think apes evolved from humans.

Generally speaking, yes. By the way, the JFK analogy has no equivalance in this case.

Good points, Calvinist. We all know that the Earth is only 6,000 years old and that Satan planted the millions of fossils dug up from deep in the ground and transported to museums and research centers worldwide. Them dummy scientists must have a liberal atheist agenda!

damn but now I'm hungry for potato salad

How do we know that? I'm certainly not suggesting those things.
