Chanced upon this, I still can't believe the depths of cruelty and disregard towards animals some people have...it makes me physically sick .

Live Animals Being Sold as Keyrings in China : TreeHugger

Needless to say, the shop keepers and buyers of these things probably expect the animal to die within a couple of days. And for what, a couple of days entertainment, for the perverted pleasure of watching them die? I don't even get it.

Some of the ways the people of that area deal with animals and food are amazingly cruel. Hopefully the cost of creating the trinkets and slow turnover will stop the practice in its tracks. Don't even go there on how cats can be treated.

Too horrible. Let's also not forget how they "control" the dog population.

The human population as well. It is unrealistic to believe any nation which forces women to have abortions near full term would respect the lives of animals be they "wild" or otherwise. Best thing to do is to stop buying "made in China", IMO. YMMV

That is really disgusting. Animal cruelty will always exist in the shadows, but I hope this "trend" is quickly abandoned and the practice disappears. Sick minded people buys things like that, and hopefully there aren't enough sick people there for it to go on.

What a depressing story!

LOL @ "control the cow population", as if they're roaming the streets like strays.

This is just horrible. I can't believe how anyone can be so cruel But then again, these are the people who are, because of their beliefs, making the tiger, rhino and so many other animals go extinct.
