Neat pics of pretty animals for sure, but those are not Arctic Foxes, Alopex Lagopus, they are Red Foxes, Vulpes Vulpes. Reds are larger than Arctics, and when their ranges overlap will dominate and kill or drive out the smaller Arctics. Note the coat and coloration differences in the summer garb of the two species.

There is no suggestion in the article that the foxes are from the species known as arctic foxes.
The thread title is The Beautiful Arctic Fox. That means Alopex Lagopus, not Vulpes Vulpes, to those of us that take such things literally. A better title might have been Beautiful Foxes of the Arctic.
Great pictures. I would get too cold to do the arctic. He is a lucky person and must have an excellent camera.
