Wouldn't it be the rational thing to exterminate all monkeys since they gave us HIV, EBOLA and ZIKA virus? What do monkey contribute the the ecosystem? Would it really hurt the ecosystem? Is it really worth the risk to allow the monkeys to live any longer? The could be the death of us all.
Didn't that start when they killed off all the dogs and cats because they were transmitting disease to the humans, so the humans starting taking apes and monkeys as pets, and then Ceasar was born and......well, you know. At least if you saw the original movies....
I think it would be good for a international discussion on primates. Ebola, HIV and Zika virus may just be the tip of the ice berg. Everyone here should be concerned about these insidious creatures.

I have a better and less bloody answer. Why don't humans stop eating monkey meat? That's how these diseases became transmitted in the first place.
