Wouldn't have surprised me if this were an Asian elephant, but an untamable African one???

They should teach this one to paint, so he can identify his assailants!

I think that poachers and even Trophy hunters should be required to eat what they kill.

This guy's African (Zimbabwe). Yes, the Asians have smaller ears and they're smaller overall. They also provide transportation, do heavy labor, play polo, appear in circuses and carnivals, play soccer ... and of course they like to drink the home brew that the villagers keep outside in barrels.

But the Africans are primarily wild as far as I know. They're listed as one of the top five most dangerous animals in Africa. That's why this guy's behavior surprised me.

Elephants are intelligent but are they smart enough to know the difference between a human who wants to kill it and one who will help it?

The healing of the wound can be months so tomorrow when the wound still hurts will the elephant think that humans are useless?

Nature is always surprising us.
