My parents built a screen porch on the last two houses they lived in. Hummingbirds were their main problem. They'd fly into the screen, get stuck, and die. My parents weren't out there all the time and couldn't save them.

Beautiful bird, one I had never seen before. I believe a yellow-breasted chat. Last thing I wanted to do was shove an iPad in his face for a photo, so I didn't.
Glad to hear the bird recovered. If this happens again and the bird's not breathing, try giving mouth-to-beak resuscitation.
