We should tap into it's heat and there by not only relieve pressure but have a tremendous amount of energy... Screw wind power let's go with lava power. We could drill a 1" hole to the pocket of lava and when it shot out like a busted blemish we could play dodge the lava.

If it blows, it will be all President Bush's fault! I'm sure Joe Kennedy will find a way to blame him.

IIRC, there was something similar that happened in the 1950s or 1960s in that area. For grins, google up "the valley of smokes," or "valley of 10,000 smokes" which was an active area back in the 20s & 30s.

I confess. I'm the one that started global warming. I found the thermostat and I was cold.

A couple of folks here seem to think that they will be "safe" if Yellowstone blows. . . interesting. Do you have facilites to survive not only the physical damage that the volcanic ash will do, as well as at least one year, possibly many more, of no crop production, which means NO FOOD, etc. etc. The entire planet will (or would) be affected, in the event, and no one will survive unscathed, but then again, the financial crisis will be last thing on the survivors minds. . . a very good thing!

Well we only live 45 minutes from Yellowstone so when it blows we won't suffer LOL.. we'll be the first wiped out w/i seconds.

I'd feel for those that survive and have to deal w/the aftermath

People will be fighting some real wars as they fight for food.
