Living in Sydney, Nebraska? (Omaha, Sidney: real estate, pros and cons, moving)

Hi!

Does anyone have any comments about working for Cabela's in IT Management in Sydney, Nebraska.

We live in the Omaha area, but also have a small town background. Of course, an opportunity to work for Cabela's sounds impressive given the size of the firm, it's history and great record. But, we've also learned over the years that there can be a gap between the public side and private side of a company and the community where they are located?

Any comments about living in Sydney, NE or working for Cabela's there would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any info about Sydney or Cabela's, but I'm looking for some, Not in IT but general information about Sydney, it's life (is there life?) it's real estate, etc.

I had a friend who worked for Cabela's, and while he enjoyed the job and the company treated him well, Sidney was just too small for him (He really likes to be in bigger cities). By the way it is spelled Sidney.

We'll nt be going to Sidney, because Cabela's put a freeze on hiring due to the economy. We weighed the pros and cons, and one big con was life in a TINY town. Chicago is my sized.
