Probably more in Lincoln, than Milford, don't quote me on this but I don't think there is a large Asian population anywhere in Nebraska. Lincoln and Omaha probably have the most but it is still a small percentage.

Default hhmm...

are people accepting there? i know this may sound stupid, but i just need to know. i'm always real leary about going to rural states but seeing that i may move there, i just need to know what you all think. i grew up in the mid-west and encountered a lot of racism and i'm just scared the NE may be worse...

The metro areas of Omaha and Lincoln are more diverse than you think. I don't think it would be much of an issue at all.

I personally would like to think that people here are pretty accepting. Not to say that you might run into a few people that will cause you problems, but the majority would welcome you into the community.

You would not have a thing to worry about in Omaha or Lincoln. I could not tell you about the rest of the state however.

There is a pretty large Korean and Chinese population in Omaha around the University of Nebraska Omaha. It is in the 72nd and Dodge area.

There used to be a fairly large population of Vietnamese in and around Lincoln. When Saigon fell in the mid-70's some church denominations helped in the placement of those the fled - local churches then sponsored families and help then settle in the US. I think a number of Lincoln churches participated in that - in fact I think there are still a couple of churches with Vietnamese services, so have to believe there is a population to support that.

There is a pretty large concentration of Asians in Lincoln, around 27th street area I think. Omaha has a decent size Asian population. I also know that Grand Island has a couple of Asian markets a a decent sized Asian community.
