I've noticed a great need for affordable family housing in Plattsmouth, and notice there are low-priced, decent quality homes for sale in the area. I find it sad that the people in most need of these homes, don't have the resources to buy them...thus good, kind poor families are stuck renting sub-standard housing. It breaks my heart to see the kids in these families suffer.

I'd like to work with local organization or start my own non-profit to help remedy this situation, but have no idea who to contact or where to begin to match the inventory to the housing need, and or fund the transition of poor-hard working families into decent homes.

Any/all suggestions appreciated.
