Are there any Cowgirls or Boys in NE? We are moving to Trumbull in March and will be looking for a old farm house

Tons...

The Central and Western part of Nebraska (South of Highway 20 and north of the Interstate - which that description covers most of the state) is true cowboys. Lots of ranch land, especially in the Sandhills region.

Seriously??

We're one of the leading beef producing states in the country. Cows mean cowBOYs...

This is mine:

I'm missing how the old farmhouse ties in though...
But, you're not going to find too many cowboys/girls near Trumbull. That's farm country and any cowboy will tell you "Farm" is a four letter F word.

True, Fred.
We didn't want to call our mere 60 acres a ranch, ("all hat and 7 cattle" ) so we called it Little Tara Farm. My neighbor came over and said, "Unless you've got corn rows hidden back of those hills, you own a RANCH!"

Lots and lots of cowboys and cowgirls out here in the Sandhills (North Central part of the state)... they start 'em young, too. They are a-horseback almost as soon as they can walk!

Oops - sorry about that. I saw blue and assumed ... Maybe these old eyes.

Does bring back memories though. I've got pics of myself about that age with my grandfather taken in Dawes county.

Legitimate assumption.
She was wearing her older brother's clothes in that top photo.

Hey now, there ain't a thing wrong with us farm folks!

You will find farm houses on acreages and farm style houses in towns in Nebraska. You don't want a ranch house, all the money goes to the cattle!
