We live in Omaha, and are looking for other people/families who enjoy camping. Are there any camping clubs around here?
Thanks!

My wife and I are new to camping and live in nebraska city, we started camping last year with a new starcraft 18.5 foot travel trailer, and really enjoyed our trips to Louisville SRA, we don't travel too far from home and typically camp Thursday thru Sunday, we have two dogs who come along and are very well behaved. we are looking forward to another season and would enjoy meeting other Older Campers in their 50's-60's who would enjoy sharing the camping experience.

I began a page on camping on face book. If you are interested in joining that, pm me and I will give the info.

I have been camping over most the northern and central parts of the state for years now. There are some great out of the way, less crowded areas all over.

I really think you would find comaraderie in camping interests as well as nice landscape and facilities at Harlan Reservoir. Check out Patterson Harbor (Marina, swimming beach, concessions, fun Beach Bar) on the south side of the dam at Rep. City, and Hunters' Cove, on the North.

At Methodist Cove, 2 miles East of Alma, there is a beautiful camp ground overlooking the lake. The water is up, presently; otherwise, the North side beach is wonderful for taking walks. Right now, walking a dog along the shore would be a dream, as well as the eve's camp fire and the really fabulous 3 mile walking/biking trail that leads back into Alma where there is another lovely (city) campground/RV park............oh, and, you don't have to be a Methodist--that's just an historic name LOL

Default Senior Camping Groups

I am a Senior Widowed Camper and would like to join a camping club that goes out on various ventures throughout the year. If you have heard of any such groups, please let me know of them so that I might make contact.

I upto this last year have been involved in several "Horse" clubs as camped out with horses.

Did you have any luck finding a camping group for Senior Campers out there. I would be interested in joining such a group. I am widowed and 69 years of age

Loners on Wheels might have something for single RVers. This is a national club but I believe they have regional chapters...

Loners on Wheels: Introduction

There are a lot of camping clubs available so try looking though this list...

Default Camping Club

My wife and I live in Omaha, and we would also like to get together with other campers. Perhaps we should start a camping club. If anyone is interested, please reply and we will get something started.
