Are there any older people on the forum who know of small Nebraska towns that had an F. W. Woolworth store in the 1940's? These were the "Five and Ten Cent" stores, sometimes called "Variety" stores. Maybe your parents or grandparents remember to that period. Thanks.

Just across the border at Missouri Valley IA had one around 35-45 years ago.

You just made me feel old and tire so I am going to bed now.

Ogallala had one on East A downtown.

The Imperial Mall in Hastings had one (later era, obviously) until about 1991(?).

Gone, everywhere. Stores in other countries by the same name have no connection to the original.

Default Woolworth

Yes, indeed, people, we are dealing with ancient history here - nickel Cokes and penny candy. Thanks for your responses and my apologies for sending anyone to the fossil heap.
