K.D.B.I am not into fishing, but I have many friends who are. Many do go to Lewis and Clark and yes, it is full of walleye. There are also many lakes that are much closer. Willow Lake is by Pierce, about 20 minutes to the northwest of here. Meskintyne is about the same distance to the southeast. Ta-ha-zouka Park in the south end of town has a small pond that they stock fish in, no walleye, but about everything else. And I see alot of people sitting by the river fishing, not sure just what they catch. Fishing is big here. So I know you would not be dissapointed. Many of the gravel pits have been stocked as well, and once you get to know the people around, I am sure it wouldn't be hard to get permission to fish in those as well. They also fish at Skyview lake which is another small pond in town.As for the townhomes and condos, I see quite a few listed in the Norfolk Daily News which publishes a small edition for free on line, you don't get the whole paper, but you get the classifieds. Denied:1up! Software () . So you could check that out.Jobs are not plentiful, if that figures into your plans at all. But otherwise - Norfolk is a nice little town. There is a small bait shop in town. And of course, Wal-mart etc. for all your fishing needs.Hope this helps!

It does get cold in the winter but the below zero temps do not last. Nebraska may be low on the pay scale but the ways of living are more laid back then other places may be. I love Nebraska.

Neligh is great. I try to get to the drive in theater as much as possible in the summer. Its about a 40 mile drive for me but I think it's worth it.

Is there some good waters nearby for some walleye or bass fishing?
Being retired and disabled vet, is there many good Condo of Townhomes in which to move?

Come to Yankton...only 1 hour North of Norfolk. TONS of fish, especially Walleye. We are right on the Missouri River and have a fantastic lake. Hell...just move to Yankton and visit Norfolk!
