Wineries
My girlfriend and I also enjoyed Whiskey Run Creek, the Brownville winery. The wine was excellent and I'd recommend the Edelweiss. We also went to James Arthur Vineyards in Lincon and while the atmosphere was great, I wasn't a big fan of the wine. If you're looking to travel, there are some excellent wineries in Michigan.

I just went to the Best of Sarpy show put on by the Sarpy Chamber of Commerce. Soaring Wings had a booth there.
Their Dragons Blood wine is excellent.

Buffalo Run is another great little winery in SD—just one mile north of Nebraska in Vermillion SD. The place operates as a B&B and has a great Sunday brunch. www. buffalorunwinery. com

Thanks! I'll probably be up in that area early spring so might try to take time to pop over there.
Is it close to Crawford or out a ways?
Do you know if they have a website, I couldn't find one.

The few times that I have been there, I did see cars w/out of county plates (mostly Omaha), but I have no clue how often people pass through Brownville and actually stop or how many people go there on day trips.
I am not even sure if the winery is still open, until it is sold, or if it is closed. Anyone know?

A very old topic but I just ran across something that said that the founder, Robert Cuttright, died June 2007.... that the family did want to sell, but in the meantime they were committed to running the winery as he would have wanted.... kind of clarifies the above discussion
I checked their website and it is still up and running - we hope to pop down to that area in a month or so so will probably try to stop in.
