Nebraska Weekend - Bullriding
A Nebraska Weekend at one of many fairs throughout the state... these specific pictures happened to be from the Brown County Fair; however, we saw the same type of events in Sarpy County, Saline County... a great all American event.

Tall bluestem (our state grass is actually short bluestem (aka "Bunchgrass") but tall is more impressive.)  The arid southwest  Small town county fairs:  Great place to be a kid:  Or hang out at the local bar:  (small-town Nebraska is one of the few places where it's socially acceptable to bring your children to the bar. Especially if they'll do the supper dishes for the waitress. lol) You can even meet the Marlboro man :P  "Rare" species are so plentiful they can be a nuisance:  And "fun" is a relative term:  Last edited by itsMeFred; 11-22-2007 at 09:44 AM.
