Pray for our friends in Omaha
You have probably heard of the shooting at Westroads Mall. Keep the people in our prayers. Hard to believe this can happen in Nebraska, but no where is immune to this kind of horrible violence. To think many of us have shopped in that mall many a time. Our prayers to the victims and their families.

it is very scary and sad! my daughter recently moved to Omaha and I worry about her daily. this sure won't help my anxiety.

If the suspect turns out to be FROM Nebraska, I sure hope his parents are never allowed to live that down (if they are still alive).

Police news conference a few minutes ago 9 Dead, 5 Wounded. 1 of the dead is the shooter.

Whatever. Most on this board are intelligent enough to point the blame where it belongs...on the shooter. The guy is dead...the thoughts of people will be on the victims family...not on arbitrarily trying to seek revenge by attacking the parents just for the sake of blaming someone. You may be this twisted, but I know for a fact that most on this board are not, and i know most in Nebraska are not. Further, the gun being legally or illegally obtained doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the parents! Yes, these are all facts the will be borne out, but, as of right now, you know nothing.
Now the topic of this board does not concern the parents of the shooter as targets for retribution. The topic is related to the victims and the victim's families. Go peddle your hate somewhere else.

We lived about 2 miles from Columbine when that horrible event unfolded, and I'm sorry for Omaha to have to go through this type tragedy too. A rational person can't understand an irrational act like this. We always will wonder why.

Current news report is shooter was a 19 year old male from Sarpy County. Police are searching a home in Bellevue. Report was he left a suicide note and just after the shooting someone walked into the Sarpy County Sheriff's dept with the note. Pray for not only the victims and families, but also that guys family. I can't imagine being a parent of a child that does this.

The reports I'm seeing are saying he was 21, not that it makes much of a difference.
