Ok a couple more, Ole's in Paxton and Thursday night pizza in Dannebrog. For desert, (not really a restaurant) stop at the Bakers factory in Greenwood for some meltaways.

Best candy around. Also their chocolate covered potatoe chips.

There is a Valentino's in Sioux Falls, SD. The food is good, but not exceptional. It has been there since the late 1980s and is doing well.

Yeah, that's one of the ones I was thinking of when pointing out that their chains are hit or miss. (Though it's not in NE so I didn't mention it. ) Norfolk, NE was an early franchise too, but that's another that can be pretty mediocre.

There's a bar in Garland, NE which isn't too far from Lincoln. They have the best prime rib I've ever had. Their loaded baked potato is also excellent!

Wow when the warm weather gets here I have a list of newplaces that I can check out.
That spot overlooking Lake McCouhnahy sounds familar. I have watched the sunsets there several times. I can't recall how good the food was but the view was fantastic.

Used to be pretty good. Not fancy, but nice, and the steaks were good. (I really miss that good Nebraska beef) I agree, though, it was mostly just a nice relaxing place to enjoy those awesome sunsets on Big Mac. Nebraska probably has some of the most beautiful sunsets in the country! (Along with great steaks )

I have been to USA Steak and Buffet in Norfolk and Kearney and the food as decent. I see that Whiskey Creek is a common restaruant in cities of 10,000 and over and have noticed them in Grand Island, Kearney, and North Platte. Is Whiskey Creek any good?

Whiskey Creek
Whiskey Creek rocks! They also have one in Fremont and Lincoln, and their food is awesome..
It is a very good steakhouse with a small bar area, and you can throw peanuts at each other!!

I love Lonestar.. Mmm..Mmmm... Good.
One of my FAVORITE places to eat is Joni's in Waverly. It's on the highway (I dont know what number) that connects Lincoln and Waverly. It has a small icecream sign out front. One of the best cheesesteak hogies I've ever had! Tho, I think they did change their recipe so it's not as good as it used to be.
It's so cute and SO good.
