I have been listening to the Lincoln Police broadcasts on the Internet. Mozilla Firefox has a free APP for downloading. RadioRage. It is probably available in many cities across the USA.

I have been listening to the scanner while doing my work on the computer and it has been enlightening. It really gives a better idea of just how difficult the job of Police and the Medical support staff with Fire Departments can be. Be aware it can be addictive.

interesting to be sure but I wish that there were similar sites to some of the occupations that I find stimulating such as Charter Accountant or Lion Tamer

I listen to Broadcastify a lot. But I usually listen to the Chicago PD. Definitely lots of stress to the job.

One thing I have noticed after listening to the Lincoln PD broadcasts for the past few weeks is the number of times a dispatcher warns the officer that the person they are interviewing has a history of violence toward Police. Lately there seems to be quite a few times when known gang connections are mentioned also.

Omaha gang bangers are killing each other off at an alarming rate. How many innocents will get caught and killed in the crossfire?
