We have a few hills and trees over here along the Missouri River... but I agree... I think Nebraska's most scenic parts are the Wildcat Hills, Sand Hills and Niobrara River valley.

I love getting out to Chadron and just driving around from there to Crawford and then south and west a little. Very beautiful area - great for photography.

This is a tough one to call. Hard to beat the panhandle part of the state. Cherry County also.
The Bohemiam Alps of Butler & Saunders, ah the stories those hills could tell also.
I also think the south east part of the state has nice areas also.
But all in all, give me the sandhills.

I agree. But I'm not sure it's purely scenic and not also the culture that's tied in as well.

If a person has never had the chance to float the river east of Valentine, you should give it a try sometime. The past years the river has been taken back to being more family friendly unlike the party days of years gone by. You don't see the trash left behind by these weekend partiers any more.
Its a very pleasant float by canoe or kayak, I personally don't care for the tubes, too slow. The waterfalls along the river, the bluffs that surround it, very nice.

I'm going to say Kimball County. Only because I tend to find such beauty and inspiration in absolutely nothing. There are a lot of counties in (especially western) Nebraska that one could argue the same point for, but walk/drive some of the desolate high country in Kimball county and try not to lose yourself.
A close tie for second place would go to Scotts bluff and Dawes counties.
