Hmmm, I would go with Scottsbluff County I guess because of Chimney Rock being such a historical fixture for Nebraska, Scottsbluff Monument, and Wildcat Hills. Close tie for second being Dawes and Harrsion, the Pine Ridge region.

I truly wouldn't be able to pick just one.
I love the Sandhills (the little hills on the east end and even more, the *big* hills on the west), but then I also love the Pine Ridge. Then again, the Wildcats are also impressive. As is most the Niobrara valley. Or the Dismal valley. The rugged hills in Knox county are striking. But so are the rolling hills of Cedar, Dixon and Wayne counties...
I really haven't found too many areas of Nebraska that I don't think are pretty, I guess. Except maybe right along the Platte Valley. Too flat, I guess.

I agree with the above... too hard to choose, but it would be central to western Nebraska....

The Bohemian Alps in Butler and Saunders counties are also beautiful. But, like Cedar and Dixon counties, they might be pretty, but there are just way too many people for me to feel comfortable for too long...

Forgot all about those... my wife talks about when they used to go on Sunday drives, this is one place her dad would always take them. I remember taking my kids there when they were little, driving the hills and feeling the stomach drop when you went over the top of the hills (a little too fast)... my kids when they were little called them the "yea hah hills" because they would scream "yea hah" going over the top of the hills. Thanks for the memory.

Only a person from western Nebraska could say that those countires are just too many people My friend once had a girlfriend from Arnold and he would always have to pick her up on the edge of Kearney because she was to afraid to drive in the city Not trying to make fun, its just interesting to see how people view what population is. In Nebraska we think towns of 20,000 are big, thats a small town alot of places. Anyway I also want to throw Lancaster, Douglas and Sarpy in there for "urban" beauty. I always liked coming into Omaha at night and after going past 144 St on I-80, seeing all the lights on that little hill. Once did it on the 4th of July and it was neat seeing all the fireworks in the air.

Areas along the Niobrara River in Boyd county are really scenic. The land is hilly with tons of trees. A rarety in Nebraska.
