Default Road Less Traveled

I posted this on the rural Nebraska thread, but Matt suggested I make a new thread, so here it is. Basically I like this series they do on NTV called the Road Less Traveled. They are visiting every town in their viewing area, which is Central and Western Nebraska and Northern Kansas. They pick a town every week and do a little story on them, take a look.

NTV - KHGI/KWNB/WSWS-CA - Where your news comes first. - Grand Island, Kearney, Hastings, Lincoln | Road Less Traveled

I want to stop and visit that 'one woman' and her town some day... maybe have a star party outside of her library the week of NSP... I know it's up in that neck of the 'woods'.

(of course I just assume everyone know's the woman/town I'm talking about )

Yeah, I do know what you're talking about, but I can't remember the name of the town.

I'm gonna take a guess here. One woman town, library. Elsie?
(have not explored the link fullyyet but did not see Boyd County there)
But Monowi is North/East/Central NE and in Boyd County.

Just last week, I was on this thread, more on Monowi there:

Or this site: (Wikipedia, but what I see, this page IS accurate)
Monowi, Nebraska - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I wish we got that station. I see they've already done two of the four towns in my county...

They say their coverage area goes clear to Colorado, but you know how that goes.

If I had cable I would get them. But an antenna won't pull them in and I'm too far out of town for cable. So yeah, I know how that goes. :P

Ahh yes the antenna, grew up with it, my parents still have it. Luckily they live near Kearney, but still we had 5 stations, 2 of them were PBS, and then luckily Fox came in over antenna, so that boosted them to 6. My grandmother, who lives in the Sandhills, could only get PBS, till we got her a dish.

I wouldn't hold your breathe or let the anticipation get to you too much on waiting to visit Monowi.

But if you are up in that area, head northwest and hit Gross, NE. Friendliest little bar in the area.

And what about Meadville north of Ainsworth, now that place is worth stoppin in at!
