We are moving to Western NE, as my husband has a job in Sutherland. I am trying to figure out which town we should live in within about a 45 minute commute for him, tops. Our son, 7, is active in sports and is in our current district's Gifted and Talented program. Our daughter, 14, is exceptionally smart and a very good cheerleader (tumbling). The kids and I have only lived in the Midwest once, for about a year in Platte City, MO. I have spent days scouring the Internet to learn as much as possible about potential places to live. I would love to hear information from locals... or at least people more local than the Gulf Coast.

Google search North Platt NE it’s about the only town of any size nearby Sutherland and will have the majority of your needs for shopping and schools. The link below has some information to help you; however you’ll find most everything here. Sutherland is maybe only a 20~30 minute drive west of North Platt.
