Hey everyone,

What are the people talking about here in Scottsbluff? Things in the news, not in the news? What is the word(s) on the street?

I just moved here and I want to know what is happening when I chat with my new co-workers.

Well, this would be very big news, Scottsbluff and Gering and looking to merge into one city.

As I live in Scottsbluff, it depends upon the demographic. The school bond issues have been pretty hot topics recently. The merger of the two (or three) cities has been discussed for quite some time, but it is being looked at more seriously now. The recent lay-offs at ALS (mortgage industry), the HATC 42,000 sq ft expansion, the homeless shelter, the recent mountain lion sighting on the Scottsbluff Country Club golf course. You can check out KNEB news website for pretty up do date community info. Pretty much depends upon who you are talking to! Welcome to Scottsbluff!
