I am enjoying the cold weather.
E Kansas does not get as cold as the Midwest areas further northeast during winter.
For example the low this morning in Mason City, IA was -9F but my low was around 13F.

In our case, its not how cold it is, it's that we haven't had a break. Nebraskan's can experience bitter bitter cold, but then a week later its back into to 30's for a break.... but these year its just been cold for an extended period without the bounce back up in temp.

I understand. However, next week looks quite a bit milder based on the latest GFS computer model. It was cold in the Upper Midwest this morning with lows colder than -25F.

Hello, here from So. California.
I'm sooo tired of this sunshine and warm winter weather.
Looking forward to some good rain starting today and a nice dusting of snow on the mountains here would be nice !

-27? That sounds horrible... I'm in the balmy south. Our windchill is only supposed to be around +15.
Though I will say, from 56 yesterday to actual temp of 25 today is just what all our baby calves need...
*sigh*
