It was extremely mild in KS this afternoon with highs near 70F. The Midwest was MUCH colder.

It was great around Lincoln-Omaha areas... 61 most of the day - had the doors and windows open all day - felt so great!

Now, I live in NY but I've been monitoring the temps. in Scottsbluff and Sidney because these are where I have an interest to move to. At times it's been a bit colder than here in NY but for the most part, it's been similar or warmer! And we are having a mild winter. I can't wait to take a trip out there soon to check out your Beatuiful State. I really think I'm gonna like it there.

If you can handle the dry and semi-arid conditions in that area of NE you should do just fine. However, summer temps can be quite hot with 100F+ temps common. Humidity values are generally quite low during the hotter months west of the 100th meridian.

I'm used to mid to high 90's in NY with 90% humidity. I think I'll be OK! Thank you for the info.

I sure hope we are done with the cold. I'm gettin to old for cold. Got outside yesterday, just itchin to clean up the yard and to get to planting a bunch of flowers. Picked up a bunch of broken, fallen branches from our black walnut tree. Raked up where one flower bed will be, and had 3 barrels ready for yard waste pickup, and 1 bag of other peoples trash . Weather dude is talkin snow flurries mixed with rain. Nooooo Thanks. Tomorrow is looking like 46* That'll be good enough for me to go putter around again. I love working in the yard.
Hope we all get the real spring weather soon.

I think we are getting there. Remember last year was had that really hard freeze in early April though. I think we are pretty much done with snow, we might get a dusting but I don't think we'll get any big storm, at least I hope not. Warmer weather feels so good, have fun working in the yard!
