Omahahonors, your pictures remind me of Colorado! I love them! Few people realize that half of Colorado is mountains and the other half is plains/foothills. Your pictures are exactly what Colorado plains look like around Rye, Walsenburg, Trinidad, Pueblo, Rocky Ford, LaJunta and so many towns.

Pictures of the 2012 Fairfield Range Fire

Wild fire that started north of Johnstown, NE, jumped the Niobrara River, burned through Rocky Ford area and the town of Nordon. Over 150 square miles destroyed.
