If you do, please stay off the Interstate (I-80)... for the most part it follows the Platte River so it goes in the river valley across the state - so it is always flat... (if you hear people say Nebraska is boring, its generally folks that have only gone across the state on the Interstate and haven't ventured out).

OTOH, I enjoy driving I-80. Speed limit is 75 most of the way across the state. Farms and farm animals to look at. Some times of the year you see the Sandhill Cranes, a really neat experience.

If you don't mind slowing down to 65-70 the highways (H92 parallels I80 for almost 1/2 the state) give you nicer views of that farm area... travel off of that in Western Nebraska and you get to experience the vast ranches.

Here is one I took in a relatives barn by Surprise, Nebraska.

I still think this is my favorite view in Nebraska though.

DTO_Luv I do like your skyline picture - will need to try and update it with the same effects after the WallStreet Tower goes up (man that old UP building is coming down slow)...

My favorite picture would be a 5 side-by-side starting with your skyline picture, then adding a small vibrant rural downtown that kept the integrity of the old structures, followed by a Niobrara type scene, then a typical Sandhills view, finishing up with a PineRidge view.... Those 5 panels framed would be a great Nebraska picture.

I wish more folks could post more pictures.
Hey! I've heard great things from residents about the areas slightly south and slightly east of Omaha, if I'm not mistaken. Any shots of there? Even of the suburbs? Thx.

I was downtown late last week and snapped these two pictures of the bridge that's going up on the riverfront - will be a great addition to the metro trail system

(forgive me if they don't show up the best - been forever since I've tried to post a picture - not sure why mine show up as small attachments and everyone else's show up normal size). Need to click on the picture to make it normal size (why I don't know)

That kind of looks like the same framework as one of Spain's modern bridges (forgot the name). Have you ever seen pics of "The Swan" bridge in the Netherlands. Hope this one's like those!
