Liberal puke?? How so? I believe that NO ONE is entitled to a cushy nice job in the world. I have spent a lot of time, work, money and life enjoyment getting an education that can't be easily duplicated or outsourced. It certainly can't be done by someone with only a high school education. So, unless you know some illegal aliens who are Ph.D. lawyers I won't be too worried. Maybe if you would have invested in YOUR future a bit you wouldn't be so easily replaced by a non-skilled laborer. It seems to me that YOU are the one spewing off the ridiculous liberal commentary. You seem to think you are entitled to your living, whether it can be done cheaper or not. And instead of investing in your future you pi$$ and moan and expect everyone to feel sorry for you. Do I feel sorry for some who have lost their jobs? Absolutely. But I don't feel sorry for those who simply use the issue to be closet racists about it. For that wonderful group of people, it doesn't matter whether someone is an illegal alien or a legal alien. The only thing that matters to them is that they are Hispanic.
I'm no liberal, especially on economic issues. However, the drivel that has been spouted on this thread is about 75% racist. Yes, there are some reasonable fairness arguments to be made. However, the comments I took issue with were comments treating all Hispanics as if they were illegals and treating all Hispanics as if they were thieving welfare recipients with an IQ of 12.
So, instead of pi$$ing and moaning to me about your life why don't you act like a real conservative and go retrain yourself or pull YOURSELF up. It amazes me how in one breath people like you will rail against entitlements for welfare recipients and you'll rail against minimum wage laws, but you seem to think there is no contradiction when you feel you're entitled to making $20/hour as a laborer. More misplaced ignorant entitlist faux conservative protectionist puke!
The painting company I worked for had like 10 illegal immigrants, they told me about how they got here and I really admired their determination, they live absolutely normal lives like anyone and they aren't criminals they just want to take care of their families and they can't do it in el salvador (home of the worlds most violent gang), in fact they had more religion than me or anyone I know, think if you were a foreigner facing a possible 10 years to become a citizen? I dont think its right, but I'm not going to hate someone for it, we need a better system. Also, about how they "take all of the jobs", they're always going to be meat to cut and houses to paint, and consider that you have the means to become a lawyer or a doctor, they dont.
Sounds like you have had very little contact with illegals and are filling in the empty parts as you wish they were.

Recently while in Arizona visiting friends, we toured a Border Patrol facility. They have a Blackhawk helicopter they use for searches and aprehensions. Two of the pilots told us off the record that 99% of the illegals caught are transporting drugs for the cartels. Regardless of why they do this, it's still illegal. There is a resurgence of TB in the nation once again. Why? Because Mexico is sending it's illegals to the USA. What does this have to do with TB? Mexico offers no inoculations to it's citizens and TB is rampant in Mexico so when they come here, TB comes with them. This is only ONE issue that can be made against allowing illegals free entry to our nation. When my ancestors entered through Ellis Island, they were subjected to all the indignities that went with it at that time. Why should ANY potential immigrant be allowed into our nation without some safeguards? I would like to hear a reasonable answer to that question. All the while, people who have been waiting for years are forced to stay in line for entry, illegals from Mexico are given a pass.
I don't buy the crap that they "built" America because in the 60's thru the 80's I worked contruction and road building in Nebraska and they weren't there then. Once the infrastructure is built, they come and try to claim it for themselves, along with their crime and diseases. Ask those in Norfolk a few years back after the bank robbery. I warned them there in a letter to the editor not 3 weeks before the robbery and murders. When illegals obey our laws and respect our society, I will return the favor. Oh, 1/2 of my family is hispanic and none of us agree with allowing them to stay. My son in law has grandparents who came from Mexico many many years ago, legally and raised wonderful children and grandkids who are now professionals. My grandkids will also be professionals.

What is with people like you calling everyone that disagrees with you a "liberal." Where did I say that I think they should be able to freely enter the U.S.?? All I said is maybe you should take responsibility for your own situation and quit blaming your circumstances on an entire group of people. I mean the stuff you say is absurd. Bring their "crime and disease!" Good god. You don't think there isn't plenty of crime and disease in the "legal" population. You cite things like the murders in Norfolk. Ok. Well, what about the 1000's of murders committed in the US by "legals?" Being a person who flees a horrible situation in their home country to feed their family does NOT make someone a criminal. Are some illegals criminals? Absolutely. But plenty are simply people born in a horrible situation trying to make a better life. Yet, in your mind they are all criminal disease ridden drug dealers. My problem is YOU grouping them all together. "When they obey OUR laws and respect OUR society." You make me sick.
I am no liberal on the subject and I think the laws should be enforced. However, I also get sick and tired of people like you using the situation to blame other people for your circumstances.
I am also sick and tired of people like you reducing everything to "stupid liberal" commentary. How childish can you be?? I'm a freaking republican and i believe we should quell the influx, however I'm not a big fan of scapegoating an entire population because YOU and others like you won't take responsibility of your own life.
