Default Snipe hunting

Has anyone ever taken anyone snipe hunting? Whenever we had a visitor from another state or from a big city, we alway made sure to go on a good ol' snipe hunting trip. Hope people out there are still keeping the tradition alive .

No. Generally people are on to you with snipe hunting... Now we're on to cow tipping! lol
(it always blows my mind how many people think you actually can tip cows)

It's a cyclical thing. We used to take folks snipe hunting in graveyards, then everyone caught on. In the 70's, we told folks about the jackalope hunting. This past year I went to Austin, and brought back jackalope statues and information, and everyone I work with now was surprised and interested, as they had never heard about it!

I have not met anyone who has fallen for that that was older than 8. When I was young it was pretty fun to do at camp.

It had me laughing just reading the topic name before I even opened it.
Its been years. I talked with the son who is in his late teens now about it here just last week, he said he never heard it mentioned before. But the minute I offered to take him, well, lets just say he thought he would pass on this outing with dear ole dad. LOL!

Cow Tipping! Isn't that our state sport?

However, if you've ever driven out through a bunch of cattle in the middle of the night you will immediately see the fundamental flaw in the sport of "cow tipping".
