Rebel,

You're argument is a ludicrous joke! Do you even know what anecdotal means? Yes, there may be a city out there with less murder than Omaha. What's your point. There are tons of cities with much more murder. And, yes, there is racism everywhere.

As far as west O thinking things are peachy...well, that's because things are peachy if you live in West Omaha. People in Beverly Hills are probably also not as in touch with the crime in Compton. Again, how is Omaha unique in this regard??

So, you're higher on the social scale than us "midwesterners?" So, I'm assuming Warren Buffet is your towel boy then?? Give me a break. California has far worse problems with crime and poverty than does the city of Omaha! Its a matter of extremes. You seriously have no clue if you think crime in Omaha is worse than what is observed in California. You're taking the worst of Nebraska and comparing it the best of California. Unbelievable.

Why are you making all of these threads insulting Nebraska's governmental setups? Perhaps you should do some research before you start these threads and force us to explain it to you. O ya another difference for you to start a thread about, we award electoral college votes based on how many votes there are for each candidate in the Presidential Election. IE, A republican candidate can still win the total number, but the democrat candidate can still get one or two votes. Is this a terrible difference to you too?

Default ..

Thats what I want to know, I stuck up from Omaha and Nebraska and a mod was quick to delete my post and give me a warning..

All I said was that Reno just had an earthquake and expecting another, and how they were bashing nebraska's disastrous weather scene as a big reason they left...

I'm speechless....

There is a valid reason for a Bicameral Legislature: representation...

Sure every district has equal representation, but not all districts are proportionate...

Why should McCook (8,000) have the same amount of representation as Omaha (400,000) ? Sure you might say Omaha has more districts than McCook therefore it has more representation, but there still needs to be a population based system where more populated districts have more representation because issues can come down to be split between districts and the district with more Nebraskans living in it should have a bigger say.

Also having two houses, provides a check so the "Unicam" can't just run the entire law making branch of Government, with a "Bicam" Laws are built by equal representation both in raw numbers and in percentages!

And besides all the other states have a Bicameral Legislature, why does Nebraska insist on being the red-headed b*stard step-child?
Well Mr. Rebel, why does Reno insist on having so many casinos? So we want to be different, difference is what makes everything great. If all of the Earth was flat and dry would it be and exciting and great world? No. By the way do not swear at my state. I am proud to be a Nebraskan!

It happens everywhere-it's called White Flight. The crime in the inner city gets worse, many people with the money to do so flee to the suburbs.

OPS in North\South O may be rough, and I'd include Northwest in that-but Millard\Westside are very good. You'll pay dearly for it, but it's worth it.

I wouldn't put my worst enemies kids in the ghetto high schools of OPS.

Thank you,

All I was doing was addressing some issues and as soon as I'm gone everyone ganged up on me, insulting me, calling me names and saying i'm expressing hate...

This is the typical response I was expecting from most of you!

Some people are just too stubborn and naive to sit down and have a conversation without bashing another member just because they feel a little uneasy discussing a controversial topic...

You my friends were the ones being uncivil, not me!
