That is exactly what happened, in fact you were the one saying that I was expressing hatred toward Nebraska!

And i think matt paulson called me ludicrous...

And other people said other things too...

Then all my threads were thrown in together and biasedly labeled "Society's Rebel's complaints about Nebraska thread"

Now people won't even know what the topic of discussion is, and everything is all out of wack to because when the threads merged post from all the other ones got thrown all out of order and you really can't follow people's responses to previous posts!

And I even got a warning! -- I got a warning because I was expressing my freedom of speech! ( I've already put in a request to appeal this warning, however)

How is this not ganging up and bashing on me?

And yes I did leave Nebraska but I still have family/friends in Nebraska and I still care about what goes on in Nebraska!

You and I know that your putting words in our mouths with either insults or backhanded compliments...

You and I know that when a message board of people are getting upset with you, a lot has to do with your message, and your message looks eerily similar to hate..

And if you are expressing your 'freedom of speech' then the rest of us can too..

Ok, look...

I wasn't trying to express hate...

And I wanted to start a discussion so I am glad everyone joined in to express their points of view...

I just think the merging of my threads was a little extreme...

And a few members were directly attacking me, not my ideas

I never personally attacked another member directly, I said things like "some people" or "some places" So i was in effect, playing it safe!

But look man, or mam, I don't want to start a "flame war" and im not a "troll" (whatever that is, im not up to date on all the web-lingo). I just wanted to start some good discussions about stuff I've always had questions about. I didn't intend to offend, hurt, or discredit anyone!

But look, if all this is doing is making everyone mad then i guess we should just move on... I still like Nebraska... alot I just don't agree with everything in Nebraska, that's all... In fact my wife, son and I are coming back to visit this summer like in Jul/August, and I'm looking forward to seeing whats new in Omaha when we get there...

I just want you to know that Im not this evil person who hates everything about Nebraska, ok?

Well, believe me the Nebraska forum in the past has been a warzone between people from out of the state posting comments and people here who love the state (like me, I wear Nebraska proud and all aspects of it)

And when somebody suddenly appears out of nowhere and starts like 8 threads on things you don't like about Nebraska and going into active threads saying some of the things you did, the first thing people are going to think is that your a troll.

I mean, its cool if you want to hang out with us and talk about the state and all, I love to give information out as you can see..

One thing I've been doing is a lot of research to either prove or disprove myths.. And I follow every single development in Omaha/Lincoln areas and even if there is a chip in the curb I probably already know about it (not that we're deprived, but I am an extemely proud citizen)

If you want to hang out and learn, and talk with us we would absolutely love to have you!

No, I didn't call you ludicrous. I said your argument is ludicrous. Big difference. By the way, I still think your analysis and logical conclusions, when applied to the very weak understanding of the state of law and conditions in Nebraska and the U.S. as a whole, is, indeed, ludicrous.

I wouldn't put my worst enemies kids in the ghetto high schools of OPS.
I'm a graduate of Westside, but have enough experience with Central High to know that it is one of the best schools in Omaha.

You'll have to talk to the moderator about the merger, they are good people they will talk to you about it if it is a problem.

Its fine if you want to talk about something about this state, I would just suggest you use your words more carefully, when you start a topic. Don't use words like redneck, b#stard step child, or hick town in your posts, this riles people up. Also remember where you are posting, you didn't really expect people to not defend Omaha and Nebraska did you? Just some thoughts.

I too find it somewhat curious (and sad) when someone repeatedly takes time from their day ... to dwell on the bad experiences they had in a place they no longer live in?

Move on... and enjoy your new home (or keep looking for it if you haven't found it).

If you did you research, you would see that Reno actually is SMALLER than Omaha AND has a higher crime rate. Omaha had a total of ten more murders than Reno, and Omaha is twice as big as Reno.
So why did you move to Reno if it's actually LESS safe than Omaha?

Why does Nebraska think 19 year olds are more responsible than 18 years olds? There's only a 12 month difference there ya kno?
It's the same difference as between the ages of 17 (under the age of concent) and 18 (at the age of concent).
