Default Lodgepole History

My Great Grandfather owned a store on North Mcbride St, called J R Young, The Right Place. Anyone have any history about it?

Take a look at this link: "History of Western Nebraska and Its People". A quote from the site:
Quote:
Chapter IV - Lodgepole:
"....J.R. Young. is still another long familiar name, a pioneer in merchandising, and always forefront for the good of the town.
..... The leading mercantile house was started, in 1888 by a Mr. Young and a large fine building was erected to house the store in 1892. It is an establishment of which Lodgepole may well be proud."

Default J R Young

Thanks for the reply. Do you know of any pictures, or is there a history museum in Lodgepole?

MY great-grandfather was John Reid Young, also. I am Hazel Young Campbell's granddaughter. Are you Bob or Jack's son?

Yes I am Jack Young's oldest son. My name is Bill Young at bnyoung520@yahoo.com. I have some information about John Reid, including a photo and some letters he wrote to his son Gary and my grand mother, and some poems he wrote. I'm interested in any family history you may want to share. I also have a letter he wrote about his father and mother coming to the USA and their travels and how he arrived in Lodgepole. Look forward to your reply. BILL
