Another Blizzard?
They've been predicting snow this weekend, but now they've hyped up the forecast to what looks to become a pretty big blow, starting Saturday night, thru Sunday and into Monday. That plus below zero temps...
May all your cows be warm....

It is suppose to get really cold here also, but not forecasting too much snow yet. I think for now its looking kinda like that early November snowstorm that got South Dakota and northern Nebraska, hence SCGranny's forecast.
Although, the thing with winter storms is that they can change course and change your forecast pretty quick, so I'll have to watch the news tonight and see if anything has changed.

From Weather Underground, the ONLY online predictor of the November blizzard...
A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Saturday afternoon
through Sunday afternoon.
Strong wind... very cold temperatures and moderate snowfall will
combine to create dangerous winter weather beginning late
Saturday afternoon or early evening and continuing through the
day Sunday. Snowfall totals of four to six inches are possible in
western Cherry County and in Sheridan County with the heaviest
amounts in northern Sheridan County and northwest Cherry County.
Wind is expected to increase to 25 to 35 mph by early Sunday. The
combination of moderate to heavy snowfall rates is likely to
create near blizzard conditions and significant drifting in
northwest and north central Nebraska west of Highway 83 and north
of Nebraska Highway 2. In addition... dangerous wind chills are
expected by early Sunday evening in northern Sheridan and extreme
northwest Cherry counties... spreading south and east Sunday
evening.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow accumulations and considerable blowing and drifting with
significant impact on travel and personal safety. Continue to
monitor the latest forecasts.

LOL no doubt, tpabes! Blizzard conditions and wind chill of 30 below... poor Mullen will get all 'my' snow and I'll have a clean-swept yard! Hee hee.
Time to bring out the heavy duty sweats and long johns!
If I disappear for awhile, don't worry... if the power's out the batt chg on here ony lasts for an hour - and I'm liable to be out playing in it anyway.

The saying goes: It doesn't snow in Nebraska. It snows in South Dakota and blows into Kansas!
Stay safe!

Yeah, it's sitting at 53 degrees right now here.
We've barely gotten ANY snow at all this year so far. Which scares me since we normally get our first recordable snowfall in early November. Not that I'm complaining or anything. It's beautiful outside. I'm just wondering what the winter has in store for us.

LOL it looks like that is exactly what it did! There was an inch of snow on the horse this morning - and that was the biggest accumulation I've seen. The wind is blowing HARD but the snow seems to have all been blown south of us.. sigh. Even my sidewalk is still clear! Wind chill now is around -33.
Dangit - how can I use pictures of my Christmas-decorated-house-in-snow on my Christmas card NOW??

Those wind chills are dangerous. I'm sitting at a balmy -20 wind chill right now (I guess it pays to live in the "south" ) . I peeked at the weather channel and this artic front is between Kansas and Oklahoma. They showed Oklahoma City at 68 degrees and Garden City, KS at 15 degrees with a wind chill at -5. This is one heck of a front!
