You can have your snow day!

Here in Omaha it was upper 60s & sunny yesterday. Buncha thunder and a few sprinkles last night around 9:00 PM. Today it's supposed to be cold (28 degrees) and a little blustery. Tomorrow is supposed to be spring-like weather again.

Go figure.

Have a great snow day!

You poor Omaha people... no snow... it's SAD... How will you get your dirt wet enough to grow stuff?

BTW, it is clear and sunny now, with abt a 30 mph wind and 27 deg... We lost power for abt 3 hours while they fixed some lines that went down. Lots of time to repot my plants growing in the window...

The S wind today was warm and VERY moist. It is now blowing from the NE - and BLACK clouds are gathering. We are supposed to get a LOT of heavy rain tonight, changing to snow in the wee hours. I've heard everything from 3 to 15 inches predicted here tomorrow, Saturday.

The poor little calves... I love the snow but all of my friends have cows that have already calved or are still calving. Could be a tough year.

I agree, those ranchers have to be tired of this. But their a hardy bunch, and this isn't their first rodeo.

Nothing so far but wind for me. Suppose to be warm enough, for rain most of the day before changing to snow. 3-6 inches for me, just north of me they are looking at much more. We'll see.

It rained all night until about 4:30 and changed over to snow. Right now it is snowing HARD, with abt a 15 mph steady wind, gusts to 20, out of the NE. At 9:11 we have about 2 inches on the ground.

30 miles east of me, there are tornado warnings. 50 miles northwest, beginning of a blizzard! Me, a thunderstorm with snow soon to follow.

At 9:08 PM I have hip-high drifts (don't be impressed too much, I'm only 5'3"!) and about 12 inches of a steady cover.
