In Kearney most of the expostion building at the fairgrounds is destroyed, the airport had damage including several airplanes, several roofs blown off, a 4 plex destroyed, several signs damaged, lots of power lines down and 12,000 without power in Kearney and 40 rail cars derailed west of Kearney. I might be missing something. I talked to my family and they were very luckily, just some tree limbs but the damage was all around them. Should note no injuries, so very thankful for that.

Glad everyone is safe

At this time its still about 90 minutes away from me, so will keep an eye out.

Listen Live to the Weather Emergency Radio (which is what I'm doing - need to know when to go outside with my camera - I love weather patterns - assuming everyone is safe).
Actually it hit about every part of Kearney but really hit or miss, they are saying as many as 6 tornadoes hit the town, but thankfully no injuries. They just had a spokesman from the hospital come on and there has been no one in the emergency room.

I should add that they closed the interstate between Aurora and York because of the damage in case anyone is headed in that area.

Just changed the train derailment to 90 cars, and showed a picture of a huge tree uprooted and cars piled on each other. The amount of rain is another problem as last week we got all that rain, and now there is another line developing to our southwest, hopefully it will go south.

If you go to NTV news website and are luckily enough to get through, you can see some pictures.

Thank god, the worst of the Storm is passing north of Omaha and Lincoln, that could have been really messy

And tpabes, I'm really happy you're safe, I was very concerned for you, thanks for the update on Kearney

Some storms starting to collide and that cuts down the intensity - so the ones getting ready to move into the Omaha metro are not as severe (supposedly)

Thanks Go Ne.

I think I'm gonna have to get off as it is lightning to the southwest. Will update if I hear anything good. The local station has been on severe weather mode for about 4 hours now!!!!
