Glad your still in good spirits SCGranny, this has been quite the spring for rainfall and storms. At least it makes things green, although mosquitoes will be a pain this year. I bet the Niobrara is pretty full.

Sounds like this Omaha tornado did a good amount of damage, any of our Omaha members get damage? Sure hope not.

No major damage in my area of town (a few fallen down trees). Sounds like most of the damage was over in the Millard area of town.

SCGranny - WOW!! I can't believe you barely missed driving into that tornado! That's just crazy! Glad you got back safe.
I'm glad that everything is fine with everyone in Omaha. I didn't even know there was a tornado that touched down there!

The Niobara is rockin' with water... but the Minnechaduza is REALLy getting full. It is overflowing its banks and Sunday I watched it carve down some sandhills - in slow motion, of course. The river undercuts the sand bank, and then it all just kind of slides in. A fellow who lives right on it told me that he watched it creep up, inch by inch, so slowly this past week - and then went out and looked, and what appeared to be a slow rise had a hard and fast current in the midst of it!

Guess no one will be fussing about irrigation waters this year!!! Or, wait, someone probably will... this rain can't last forever... we bought a sump pump today, that oughtta restart the drought. As long as I don't hang any more clothes out on the line, or wash and wax the truck, that is.

Well, all the really bad weather seemed to happen before I got to Ord.. and now that I'm here, all seems pretty quite... for now.

We're going to see a little rain in the next day or two here in Ord, but that's about it.

Wow... What an insane evening this has been.
We were in a tornado warning for about 2 hours tonight. It was creepy, but awesome.
Everyone ok out there? Any of you get hit? Hope you're ok!!!

I heard a tornado touched down in Lincoln, one touched down in Bellevue, 4 kids were killed 20 to 30 injured and 8 critically injured up in Little Sioux in a boy scout camp, I was without power from 8:05 to 10:45, the national weather service's radar was struck by lighting in Valley, thank God that they have an auxiliary radar downtown.
