DTO Luv & Pittnurse70:
Sorry I was so quick to judge, but I do believe that we live in a great state and that all of our towns are fine communities. I lived in Madison, Nebraska and absolutley loved it. I also am very fond of Southeast Nebraska, where my family is from. Please forgive me for my absolutely rude comments. Everyone should have their own point of views and I respect that.

No offense was taken jstory. I just wanted to point out that a Nebraskan is a Nebraskan, from wherever in the state.

worst town in Nebr.
JanB I think you said a mouth full and I agree with you wholeheartedly.
I honestly never thought this subject would generate so much input......now how about something on a more positive note, for a change?
Where is your favorite spot in Nebraska for the springtime?
Mine is anywhere outside where you can smell the new grass that's just been mowed, flowers and trees a bloom and listen to all the new wildlife running around enjoying their freedom. Western Nebraska -- WHERE ELSE!!!!

I grew up in Nebraska and now live in Wyoming. But it wasn't the people who drove me west; I have relatives and friends scattered all over Nebraska. I just happened to marry a Wyoming girl, and ended up out here.
Over time, I slowly shifted my allegiance from the Husker football team, to those poor, down-trodden UW Cowboys in Laramie. I just love a scrappy underdog, I guess. Anyway, I'll never forget the year the Cowboys traveled to Lincoln to play the vaunted Huskers. For the first half, the Cowboys hung tough, and the score was (gasp!) 24-14 Cowboys at half-time. Needless to say, the fans in Lincoln were subdued and sat on their hands in the first half. But there was no booing. No throwing things. No rude gestures or crude remarks into the camera. And.. at half-time every last fan stood and gave my Cowboys an ovation as they left the field.
I have to tell you, I was never so proud to be a Cowboy fan from Cornhusker stock as I was that day. To me, that moment perfectly captured the Husker Nation. Fiercely loyal towards their own, but also fair, polite, civil.. and very, very, classy.
And in case your wondering, the Huskers came out in the 2nd half and whupped my Cowboys 42-24. And Cowboy fans dressed in brown stood and gave them an ovation at the end of the game. Folks, that's how it's done.

I haven't found a place in Nebraska that I didn't like! However, I tend to look for things that I DO like about places as opposed to things that I don't like. I also don't get around a whole lot so take that into perspective!

Kearney Nebraska
the most rudest people in the state live there
West Omaha gets 2nd place because of the way they treat people who arent as rich as they are

I really did not like Springview Nebraska very much at all. It is an isolated rural town but people there were not friendly at all.

I'd put West Omaha up above 2nd, a definite first. They are the worst. I live in the middle of them in a 100ish thousand neighborhood with no less than 400 thousand houses on most sides. Its down right ridiculous how they act. Not everyone, but more than 90%.

would someone please be so kind as to translate this into english for me so I can understand it? I've studied English, Spanish, and French all my life but have never encountered such a language. I guess i was wrong in assuming that those were the only 3 languages i would need living in the middle of the US.

I've been in many, many small towns all over the state, in every county. I've met some extremely rude people, and have had some pretty bad food, but for the most part, people are very friendly and service and quality are great.
