There's several mexican groceries, etc with signs only in Spanish, and the Wal-Mart there, like most stores has bilingual signs. She only mentioned property taxes as her negative view of the city, so she probably has had no negative issues with hispanic neighbors.
You sure you read my reply ? I agree as long as she assimilates into ' their culture' it's possible to live there . Some of us still think english is the ONLY language we want to see in our streets .

The only time i want to press one for english is in a foriegn land .

I don't know but if you find someone who does ask them about grand Island too . I just checked out the map and it's not on there . But it gives a general area thats close to where I am going, maybe we will be neighbors !

Get together and go fly fishing or maybe hunting .

It's a cute little town. My MIL now lives there in a senior residence. It has a neat old area and lots of new housing. Hilly. A fair amount of shopping. I was just there a few wks ago.

Yeah, there is no way GI isn't on the map. Well, unless you're looking at a globe! Its at the center of the state. I'll guarantee its on the map. And Papillion and Grand Island are about 2 hours away from each other. Papillion is a suburb of Omaha and Grand Island is about 140 miles west of Omaha.

That sounds pretty cool! Is the town an active place of historical preservation, or was it a planned community when it came about?

I always thought the older buildings added to the charm of any place.
