I'm not familar with the local joints except for the Sand bar at Divots, which isn't bad. Norfolk has many of the chain restaurants. If you are willing to do a chain restaurant that isn't everywhere, you could try Whiskey Creek, I think its a pretty good place.

Whiskey Creek is good, have eaten there before. Valentino's on sunday lays out a good brunch spread. Other than that we don't get in there to often, got to be a good steakhouse in that town I would hope.

I personally like Runza, being a regional fast food chain based in Nebraska. I like the runza sandwiches and the crinkle cut fries. There was two in Sioux Falls but were not up there long, which was too bad (but Runza picked a location that was pricey real estate on Louise Ave. and another that would have been good for them now but did not have enough development for it to be worthwhile) I have been to USA Steak and Buffet and it was a good place to eat. I have heard from a friend who lives not too far that Valentino's is a good place. The three mentioned places are along US 81 and there is a Mexican restaurant near Runza, which I have heard was a good one from my brother's friend who was oringially from Norfolk. The city has a fair amount of eating places to choose from, it is about 25,000 and most cities that size have a reasonable variety to choose from. I have had good experiences with eating in Norfolk, both with my friend and passing through there.

Valentino's is on Hwy 81 in Norfolk, not too far north of the Hwy 81, Hwy 275 intersection.
